\u2013 I\u2019m really looking forward to Stockholm BAUHAUS Athletics, which I see as one of the outdoor season\u2019s absolute high points. Both the Diamond League meeting and Stockholm Stadium are close to my heart and I\u2019m aiming to provide the public with an especially big jump. The competition will take place just a few weeks before the World Championships and will serve as an important stop on my journey towards that Championship medal.<\/p>\n
On 30 July the long jump field at Stockholm BAUHAUS Athletics will also feature Greg Rutherford, current Olympic and European gold medallist as well as Sweden\u2019s surprise European Indoor bronze medallist, Andreas Otterling. Over the years the British star has received a good deal of assistance from Michel\u2019s coach, Oscar Gidewall. Torn\u00e9us and Rutherford have faced each other on many occasions, including the Olympic final when Michel finished fourth. <\/p>\n
Today we are launching a new website http:\/\/stockholmbauhausathletics.se which will feature news of the activities around one of the world\u2019s most prestigious athletics meetings as well as the other five events which are part of Stockholm BAUHAUS Athletics. On this site you can read more about our star athletes. The website complements this website.<\/p>\n
Our traditional activities, organised mainly in Kungstr\u00e4dg\u00e5rden in central Stockholm, to attract children and young people to the sport of athletes will be expanded this year to include a two day event and also a tour of the Stockholm region \u2013 Stockholm BAUHAUS Athletics Kids Tour. In cooperation with the City of Stockholm we are giving young people, in the city and surrounding area, the opportunity to try out athletics. One goal is to increase recruitment from the suburbs. On our new website you can find a timetable for this project and reports from each stage of the tour. You can also read about the other activities around Stockholm BAUHAUS Athletics, such as Diamond 1000 and our popular annual young people\u2019s event, Stockholm BAUHAUS Athletics Youth.
