The Swedish sprinter prospect Julia Henriksson will compete in two disciplines at the BAUHAUS-gala. In the 200m, she will face Shericka Jackson, and in the 100m, she will compete against the eighth-fastest of all time, Marie Jose Ta Lou.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/i><\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

After Florence Griffith Joyner, Shericka Jackson is the fastest woman ever. In last year’s World Championship final, the Jamaican clocked 21.41 seconds, just seven hundredths of a second shy of the world record.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The double World Championship gold medallist is now coming to Stockholm on June 2nd, where she will face the Swedish indoor record holder for the 200m, Julia Henriksson. Henriksson has already started her season by running both the 100m and 200m in Greece. In the 100m, she was only three hundredths of a second away from Linda Haglund’s 44-year-old Swedish record. In the 200m, she became the fifth fastest Swedish woman of all time.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

At the BAUHAUS-gala, she will compete in both distances. In the 100m, she will race against, among others, Marie Jose Ta Lou. The Ivorian has four World Championship medals and three fourth-place finishes at the Olympics.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

In the 200m, the British sprinter Darryl Neita, who won the Diamond League 200m race in Doha, and the Danish European Championship medallist, Ida Kartoft will compete.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The Swedish records stand at 11.19 seconds and 22.82 seconds. Both are held by the sprinter legend Linda Haglund and celebrate their 44th and 45th anniversaries this year. We believe that the 200m record is threatened 2 June in the Olympic Stadium.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
