I’m really looking forward to that.”

Men’s 200m star Kenny Bednarek arrives in Sweden after opening his season with a superb 19.69 victory in Rabat and believes there could be even more to come.

“I was thinking maybe I’d run 19.8, but then I executed the race and got 19.6,” said the twice Olympic and world silver medallist. “The good thing about it was that it felt easy.”

With confidence high, the American is chasing another fast performance in Stockholm and potentially a new personal best of 19.57.

“If the weather holds and it doesn’t get too chilly, I definitely feel I can get close to it, or even break it,” he said. “I’ve just got to execute the race and we’ll see what happens.”

Brazilian 400m hurdles star Alison Dos Santos has already enjoyed an outstanding start to the season, leading the world rankings with 46.72 while also setting lifetime bests over 200m and the flat 400m.

Those performances suggest the 2022 world champion is in the shape to produce another quick time in Stockholm, where he says the competition has become one of his favourite stops on the Diamond League circuit.

“I was talking to Jareem Richards yesterday and we spoke about our favourite Diamond League meetings, and this one was in the top three for both of us,” Dos Santos said.

“It’s just so nice – the experience, the stadium, the energy, the weather. You feel like you belong here because everybody embraces you.”

With three of the world’s fastest athletes relishing both the atmosphere and their current form, spectators at the BAUHAUS-galan could be treated to another evening of world-class sprinting and some exceptionally quick times.

[38
["post-3694","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-stockholm-en
["GET
