BAUHAUS-galan is a recurring event that attracts visitors to Stockholm every summer and is one of many Diamond League competitions. Our goal is to ensure that our athletics event leaves as little environmental impact as possible and is sustainable in social and economic aspects. To achieve this, a sustainability group has been established to focus on BAUHAUS-galan’s sustainability efforts. We aim to be a role model for other organisers in Stockholm, Sweden, and the athletics world.
We work in accordance with World Athletics’ sustainability strategy and tools for certifying the sustainability of competition organisers.

What You Can Do as a Visitor
Most visitors come to BAUHAUS-galan to watch the competitions. It’s important that you help us think, act, and travel sustainably during the event. As a visitor, you play a crucial role in our sustainability efforts. Here’s how you can help:
- Dispose of your rubbish in the designated bins and sort it according to the instructions.
- Treat all athletes, volunteers, and other visitors with respect.
- Contact a steward if you feel unsafe or notice inappropriate behaviour.
- Take the train instead of flying if you are coming from another city.
- Use public transport instead of driving. If you live near the stadium, we encourage you to cycle or walk.
- Calculate the emissions of your journey for each mode of transport here.
- While in Stockholm, explore the city using public transport. Visit SL.se for all you need to plan your trip.
- Choose eco-certified accommodation to further reduce your environmental impact.
