Armand Duplantis is coming to BAUHAUS-galan on June 7

The Swede, who set his first world record on Swedish soil at last year’s gala, returns as the biggest star when the world’s elite gather at Stockholm Olympic Stadium.

“There’s nothing better than jumping at BAUHAUS-gala in front of a sold-out Stockholm Olympic Stadium. Last year was magical and I hope we can create a similar experience together on June 7,” says Mondo Duplantis.

Duplantis continues to be the hottest athlete in world athletics. As recently as Thursday, he set his 15th world record in front of his home crowd in Uppsala when he cleared 6.31 meters on his first attempt, and at this weekend’s World Indoor Championships in Toruń he could claim his 13th international championship gold medal.

It has been eight years since the Swede made his first appearance at BAUHAUS-galan. Back then he won with a jump of 5.86 meters, and since then he has added six more victories at the Diamond League meeting in Stockholm.

Pole vaulting is also stronger than ever at the very top of the world rankings. As many as six men have cleared six meters in 2026, and in February Emmanouil Karalis cleared 6.17 meters in Athens, placing him second on the all-time list behind Duplantis. Shortly afterwards, Norwegian Sondre Guttormsen jumped 6.06 meters, making him tied for sixth on the all-time list.

The announcement also means that we will see again the two Swedish athletes who provided the greatest excitement at last year’s BAUHAUS-galan. It has already been confirmed that Andreas Almgren will compete. Almgren delivered one of the most impressive Swedish athletics performances of 2025 when he set a new European record in the 5,000 metersat BAUHAUS-galan. This year he will compete in the 1,500 meters.

“BAUHAUS-galan 2025 was without doubt the best meeting we have ever had in Sweden, with both a world record and a European record — set by two Swedes. We are therefore incredibly happy and proud that both Mondo and Andreas are returning to the Stadium again this year. This is an experience the Swedish public does not want to miss,” says Jan Kowalski, Meeting Director of BAUHAUS-galan.
