Armand Duplantis has already been confirmed for BAUHAUS-galan 2026. Now it is also clear that several of the world’s top pole vaulters will be coming to Stockholm. Among the names are Sam Kendricks, Kurtis Marschall, Sondre Guttormsen, and former world record holder Renaud Lavillenie.
When BAUHAUS-galan takes place at Stockholm Olympic Stadium in 2026, a pole vault competition of the very highest international standard awaits. Armand “Mondo” Duplantis was already confirmed to compete — and now several of his top international rivals have also been added.
Confirmed athletes include two-time world champion Sam Kendricks, Australia’s Kurtis Marschall, who won World Championship bronze in Tokyo 2025, Norwegian record holder Sondre Guttormsen, who cleared 6.06 meters indoors this past winter (ranking him sixth all-time), Dutch top vaulter Menno Vloon, and former world record holder Renaud Lavillenie. Marschall finished closest behind Duplantis at BAUHAUS-galan 2025 with a jump of 5.90 meters.
The field is further strengthened by Zach Bradford, as well as the French duo Thibaut Collet (fifth at the 2025 World Championships) and Baptiste Thiery.
”Stockholm Olympic Stadium is my favorite stadium in the world. Breaking the world record there last year was a dream come true. Now, it’s time to do it again”, says Mondo.
