On Sunday, June 7, Swedish fans will have the opportunity to watch some of the world’s top track and field athletes compete at the Diamond League meeting, BAUHAUS-galan, at Stockholm Olympic Stadium. The timetable and entry lists have now been published, featuring no fewer than seven world-leading athletes.
Last year, BAUHAUS-galan delivered the best Diamond League meeting ever held in Sweden, highlighted by a European record from Andreas Almgren in the 5,000 meters and a world record from Armand Duplantis in the pole vault.
This year’s entry lists are packed with star names. The current world leaders competing include:
100m Women – Melissa Jefferson-Wooden
800m Women – Keely Hodgkinson
800m Men – Emmanuel Wanyonyi
3000m Steeplechase Men – Edmund Serem
Pole Vault Men – Armand Duplantis
Shot Put Women – Jessica Schilder
Discus Women – Valarie Allman
The afternoon will begin with youth relays and preliminary events from 3:00 PM, before the main program starts at 4:00 PM.
