BAUHAUS-galan is an annual world-class athletics gala at Stockholm Stadium. Many of the competitors think the Stadium is the world’s most beautiful arena. It is the world record arena of world records with 83 world records in Athletics since its inception in 1912. BAUHAUS-galan is part of the Wanda Diamond League, the highest competition series for athletics in the world. The world’s top elite is always there and competes against Sweden’s hottest athletes. The atmosphere at the Stadium is always magical with its history combined with modern technology and an audience that sits just one meter from the active people.

BAUHAUS-galan is organized by the Stadionklubbarna, which were formed in 1944 and currently consist of 14 associations from the Stockholm area. The purpose of the Stadium Clubs is to promote athletics in Stockholm and the surrounding area and to establish and consolidate Stockholm Olympic Stadium as an international athletics arena and a competition venue for athletics at the highest international level.

This shall be done by the Stadionklubbarna arranging various competitions with accompanying events, of which at least one competition per year shall be at the highest international level. This competition shall be held at Stockholm Olympic Stadium. The Stadionklubbarna shall also work in other ways for and protect Stockholm Olympic Stadium with its traditions as an athletics arena and work to ensure that active members of the associations that are members of the Stadionklubbarna have the opportunity to compete in the competitions that the Stadionklubbarna arrange.
