The latest name in the list is Anna Chicherova. The Russian athlete won the women’s high jump in spectacular fashion with a two meter and five centimeter jump in London. The stage is now set for even greater heights.

Friday’s meet includes most of the world’s elite in women’s high jump including Chicherova, Olympic bronze-medallist Svetlana Shkolina, fourth-placed Ruth Beitia, sixth placed Chaunté Lowe and Emma Green-Tregaro who finished eight in her ninth straight outdoor final at a seasonal best of 1.93.
