Double World Champion Blanka Vlasic signs up for DN Galan

Blanca Vlasic dominated the women’s high jump until 2010 and her resume includes two world championships titles. She made her comeback in the spring after a long period of injury and ten days ago cleared 2.00m which puts her in third place on the current world list.

– Stockholm Stadium is one of my favourite arenas where I jumped 2.07 in 2007 and set a Croatian record. It will be great to come back and compete in front of such an enthusiastic crowd, said Blanca Vlasic who holds the stadium record.

Trost and Shkolina will also be there
Alessia Trost, 20, is also on the DN Galan startlist. She won the World Junior title last year and in the winter cleared 2 metres for the first time. And she’ll be joined on 22 August by London Olympic bronze medallist Svetlana Shkolina and Swedish Olympic finalist and European indoor medallist, Emma Green.
