An Olympic title is the greatest achievement in athletics, so it’s especially exciting that so many of the best from London are choosing to compete in Stockholm.  Suhr, who represents USA, was also second at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing. It is with great enthusiasm that she looks forward to DN Galan.

– My goals for the outdoor season are to break the world record and become World Champion.  It will be fun to compete in Stockholm´s Olympic Stadium where a world record number of world records have been broken.

Women’s pole vault has for many years now been a popular spectator event in athletics.  One of the competitors who has really contributed to this popularity is Jennifer Suhr.  During this year’s indoor season she set a new world record of 5.02 metres!  This could be the sign that she is ready to take over the throne of Yelena Isinbayeva…

If Suhr was the world’s leading senior polevaulter last year, it was a Swede, Angelica Bengtsson, who dominated the global scene for juniors. Angelica, who won gold at last year’s World Junior Championships in Barcelona, will also compete at DN Galan.
