Pre competition program – to keep an eye on

On Sunday it’s time for the BAUHAUS gala – the Diamond League competition at Stockholm Olympic Stadium. Before the main competitions start with the first competition at 17:03, a preliminary program with several interesting features awaits. Here is a full summary with times.

15:55: Youth relay

The afternoon begins with a youth relay of 4×200 meters where a total of 10 different clubs are represented.

16:15: Mixed para class 100 meters (T12, T20 and T35)

Eight qualified Swedish paraathletes will start. All of them hold a high national elite class and have won several medals at international championships and have been awarded at the Swedish Parasports Awards.

16.25 1 500 meters national B-heat
There are several promising juniors here – IFK Lidingö’s 19-year-old Karl Ottfalk, for example. He was close to a medal at the U20 World Championships last summer and surprisingly took home the 2024 Swedish Championship gold in the 5,000 meters as an 18-year-old.

16:35: 1,500 meter national heat, women

Same thing here. Several interesting juniors. Carmen Cernjul, Spårvägen, holds no less than three Swedish junior records in the 800m, 3,000m (indoors) and 5,000m. The Swedish senior record holder in the 800 meters, Lovisa Lindh, will also be starting.

16:45: 400 meter national heat, women

A heat with mixed ages. Several Swedish juniors will face more experienced older runners with SM qualifications. 19-year-old Elina Wester from Örgryte recently came in ninth in the time trial in Sweden at the distance and will be standing on the starting line on Sunday.
