During the period between February 4th through the 7th DN Galans organizing committee held a conference in the winter resort town of Åre, Sweden.
Why Fortum sponsors DN Galan and other track and field events
The conference was very productive and clearly outlined the organizations structure. Saturday evening we had the honour of listening to special guest, Hanna Johnsson, from our sponsor Fortum. She talked about Fortums focus and strategy around its ambitious sponsor initiatives. Hanna gave the following reasons as to why Fortum has chosen this format of communication:

Continually working to improve our event
Over a long period of time DN Galan has been a leader in the development of international track and field events at the highest level. Now that we are participants in the Samsung Diamond League it is clear that our staff is looking to improve the organization even further. The trip to Åre was an investment in the future! DN Galan, a diamond level event!
