The famous Stockholm Olympic Stadium will be alight when Abeba steps on to the newly laid track for the start of one of the world’s top athletics galas. She began her season with a 1500m victory at the Diamond League meet in Shanghai and followed up with a second place in Eugene in her third best time at the distance, 3:57.57.
 – Straight after the European Championships I’ll be looking forward to running my specialist distance in front of the Stockholm crowd, says Abeba.

Over the past year Abeba Aregawi has dominated the international scene at 1500m, winning the IAAF Diamond Race and World Championships gold both outdoors and indoors.
