World Elite in 100m Hurdles Ready for BAUHAUS-galan

Several Olympic finalists are ready for BAUHAUS-galan at Stockholm Olympic Stadium on June 15. Devynne Charlton, world record holder in 60m hurdles, Olympic foursome Nadine Visser, Ackera Nugent and Grace Stark will compete in a heated duel in the 100m hurdles.

Devynne Charlton from the Bahamas broke Susanna Kallur’s world record in the 60m hurdles last year by one hundredth, and then lowered it by another two hundredths to 7.65 a month later. Charlton has two straight World Cup gold medals (2024 and 2025) in the 60m hurdles, a World Cup silver from 2022 and has been in two Olympic finals – in Tokyo and Paris. In the 100m hurdles, she is ranked seventh in the world. Charlton has competed at the BAUHAUS gala twice before, with a fourth place as her best result.

Nugent and Stark are both making their debuts at BAUHAUS-galan. American Stark is ranked fourth in the world and took an impressive victory in the Diamond League competition in Shaoxing earlier in May in 12.42.

Nugent set a Jamaican record in the 100-meter hurdles in 12.24 in Rome last year – and last winter she took bronze behind Charlton in the IVM final in the 60-meter hurdles. Nugent won two Diamond League competitions in 2023 and is currently ranked fifth in the world.

Nadine Visser, a familiar face for the Stockholmers, will also be on the starting line. She has done several BAUHAUS galas before and is the reigning Olympic four.

With four of the world’s best on the starting line, one of the hottest races of the gala awaits when the women’s 100-meter hurdles is decided.
