World record holder and Swedish track and field superstar Armand “Mondo” Duplantis is ready to compete at this year’s BAUHAUS-galan at the Stockholm Olympic Stadium. The prestigious gala, part of the Wanda Diamond League, takes place on June 15th where the audience can look forward to one of the biggest moments of the athletics summer when Mondo jumps in front of his home crowd.
After another successful indoor season with top results and new world records, Duplantis once again chooses to compete in Sweden – something he describes as both important and
emotional.
“Stockholm and BAUHAUS-galan means a lot to me. It is always special to jump on home soil, in front of Swedish fans, friends and family. I am looking forward to a fantastic evening and hope to be able to offer the audience something really big”, says Duplantis.
Mondo has previously offered historic performances at the Stockholm Olympic Stadium –
including a Stadium record in 2022 (6.16 m), which was the highest result outdoors ever by that time. Now all eyes are once again on him – could another record be within reach?
As usual, the BAUHAUS-galan 2025 promises an evening filled with world-class athletics, with several of the sport’s biggest stars. But the evening’s big headliner is undoubtedly the pole vault final – and Mondo Duplantis at the center.
The entire world elite will face him, with jumpers queuing to come and compete at the
Stockholm Olympic Stadium.
“There are many jumpers who want to compete in Stockholm. We cannot take as many jumpers as we want. Then the competition will be too long. However, some will have the chance to qualify via the competitions at Täby Torg the day before, where the winner will receive a place at BAUHAUS-galan”,. says Jan Kowalski, Meeting Director.
The pole vault competition at the BAUHAUS-galan will start at approximately 5:30 p.m. on June 15.
Mondo will make his outdoor debut at the Diamond League competitions in Xiamen. The
competition will be broadcast live on April 26 at 1:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m. on SVT1/SVT Play.
