Discus throwers renew battle
The top two in the men’s discus from the IAAF qualifying meeting in Oslo will renew rivalries just three days later when they meet here in Stockholm tomorrow (Sunday) afternoon.

After some great action in the Oslo Diamond League last Thursday the Scandinavian Athletics Week continues in Stockholm on Sunday. Four of he top events are men’s discus and long jump and womens high jump and pole vault. De Grasse to Flourish in Scandinavian Midnight Sun
Twenty two year old Andre De Grasse is the latest in a long line of brilliant Canadian sprinters and now stands on the verge of taking over the mantle of the No.1 sprinter in the world, Usain Bolt. History will refer to the likes of Harry Jerome, Donovan Bailey and of more recently Bruny Surin as phenomenal sprinters who represented Canada and there is no question that De Grasse is of the same calibre. Swedish success at the European Indoor Championships in Belgrade
Never before has Sweden been so successful at a European Indoor Championships as in March this year. Only three nations earned more points than Sweden. At the 34th edition of the European Championships, which has taken place since 1970, half of the squad of 29 managed to claim a top-8 position.
